On September 10, 12pm EST (Sept 11, 2am CHST) Guam will have a coveted seat at the table with just three other States, New Mexico, Kansas, and Minnesotta, with their respective Governors addressing the Financial Services Committee on:
"The need for financial aid to America's States and Territories during the pandemic: Supporting First Responders, assisting schools in their efforts to safely educate, and preventing mass layoffs."
In a letter to Governor Lou Leon Guerrero, Congressman San Nicolas advises a review of the Pennsylvania program utilizing state and local CARES Act funds for compensating essential workers.
"Essential workers have held us up and kept us going, and we need to compensate that accordingly," opened Congressman San Nicolas.
The Pennsylvania program provides direct grants to eligible businesses to compensate essential workers, with Congressman San Nicolas advising eligibility for all workers earning $25 or less.
"We would like to recognize the OUTSTANDING work of Project Director Mary Grace Lapid Rosadino of the Superior Court of Guam.
Her hard work has secured a New Award of $398,228.00 in U.S. Department of Health and Human Services grant funds for Adult Drug Court Projects of the Superior Court of Guam.
