There are many opportunities for federal funding that my office can assist you with.  We will work with you to get you the best resources to meet the needs of your community.  While my office cannot assist in writing grants, we would be happy to assist you in locating grants and to write a letter of support once you have submitted the application.

3. Once you find a grant, learn as much as you can about it.  Contact the federal agency who disburses the grant and visit their website.

   Contact information for the federal agency should be available within the Catalog of Domestic Financial Assistance.  If you are having difficulty finding this information, please don’t hesitate to contact my office.

4. To find out when the grant application period is open, click here to search the current grant opportunities from the federal government.  If you are interested in searching non-federal sources, click here to visit the Foundation Center or the Foundation Center Cooperating Collections.

5. Learn about the grant writing process to write the strongest grant application possible.  The Foundation Center offers a free, online proposal writing short course.  Click here for more information.

6. Once you have submitted the grant application, please click here so that I may write a letter of support for your request.  While Congressional support is not required to obtain federal assistance, demonstrating broad-based support is sometimes helpful when multiple grant applications are similarly scored.
