(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Representatives Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Chris Pappas (NH-01) today announced the award of $4,562,905 in funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) Program to invest in renovating and modernizing the New Hampshire Northcoast (NHN) railroad line.
Today, the House passed H.R. 7617, the second annual appropriations package, which funds a range of critical national priorities, including the fight against the addiction epidemic in our communities. Washington, D.C.- Representative Chris Pappas was appointed by his colleagues to serve as a Conferee to help negotiate the FY20 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The Conference Committee, made up of a select group of House and Senate members, will merge the House and Senate versions of the bill into a final version. After the committee completes its work, the final NDAA will be voted on in both chambers of Congress before going to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
