Congressional Action

We need a coordinated, well-resourced government response to the current public health crisis to help keep communities here in New Hampshire and across the country stay safe. That’s why I voted for three bipartisan emergency response bills that passed with broad support and were signed into law.

These measures include:

  • Funds to expand free testing

  • More resources for vaccine development

  • Funding for hospitals and health care workers so they can have more personal protective equipment, including masks and gloves.

  • Emergency relief for small businesses to help them stay afloat.

  • Expanded paid sick leave for Granite Staters who are out of work

  • Strengthened food assistance programs.

  • Support for Medicaid to fortify our health care system.

Furthermore, although our offices have begun teleworking to heed the guidance of the CDC and New Hampshire State officials, my staff is continuing to provide uninterrupted constituent services to assist you at this difficult time. I encourage any constituent who needs help with the federal government, including veterans benefits, Social Security and Medicare, IRS, or small business loans to call the numbers listed below or  by clicking here to open a case.
