Congresswoman Omar is a member of the House Budget Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where she serves on the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. She also serves on the House Education and Labor Committee, where she is a member of the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development and the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections.

She is a Midwest Regional Whip of the Democratic Caucus and the Whip of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and Vice Chair of Medicare For All Caucus.
