COVID-19 Resources

The global community is currently experiencing an outbreak of a new coronavirus disease, known as COVID-19. Like you, I am concerned about this disease and I am closely following the rapidly evolving developments around it. Safeguarding Coloradans is of the utmost importance to me. I am in constant contact with local and state public health officials regarding Colorado’s response. I will continue to monitor this public health emergency and work with my colleagues to ensure that Colorado has the resources needed to keep constituents safe. I supported legislation passed by Congress that provided emergency funding to help ensure communities and states have the resources they need to combat the spread of this disease, as well as legislation to address the economic impacts Americans are experiencing as a result of the coronavirus.

Colorado has set up a line to answer general questions about coronavirus disease 2019, you can call CO HELP at 303-389-1687 or 1-877-462-2911 or email COHELP@RMPDC.org

On March 27th, Congress passed and the President signed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security, or CARES Act, which includes:

  • Direct cash payments of around $1,200 per adult and $500 per child for individuals making under $100,000 to supplement lost income and help with unexpected expenses as a result of this crisis. Find more information in the "2020 Rebate FAQ" posted above.
  • Historic expansion of unemployment insurance to replace 100% of average wages to help furloughed and laid-off workers; an additional $600 per week for the next four months; an extra 13 weeks of eligibility; and assistance for freelancers;
