Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson invites high school students from throughout the DFW Metroplex to submit their applications for her annual Youth Summit & Diversity Dialogue. This prestigious event is held at Southern Methodist University’s Meadow School of the Arts, and provides students the opportunity to learn leadership skills and to delve into a further understanding of the significance of diversity from professional leaders and prominent youth. This year the event will take place on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
Students will take part in workshops geared towards learning these skills, and will apply them to final projects. A service project will also be included in the program, and students will receive a Certificate from Congresswoman Johnson upon completion.
Please be sure to complete the application in its entirety. The deadline for applications is Monday, July 22, 2019.
