Washington, DC – On Saturday, October 31, 2020, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson will be inducted as a prestigious Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN). This year’s 2020 Class includes 230 Nurse Leaders from four continents - Africa, The Americas (Canada and the United States), Asia, and Europe.  Also being honored as an Honorary Fellow will be Immunologist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is head of the National Institutes of Health’s Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).  AAN will recognize these esteemed health professionals for their significant contributions to health and the delivery of health care at the Academy’s annual Transforming Health, Driving Policy Conference.

In accordance with national CDC guidelines for social distancing, The American Academy of Nursing’s Induction Ceremony, will take place virtually.  This is a free event which does not require registration.
