Every day, I’m proud to represent Oklahomans in Congress. My team and I are here to serve you. We understand navigating federal agencies can be incredibly difficult – so we’re here to help!  Please reach out to my Oklahoma District office at (405) 602-3074 if you need assistance with Veterans Affairs, Social Security, SBA loans, Medicare, stimulus payments, or any other federal issue.

Below, you can read a few of the success stories from the 5th District.

Jennifer was having trouble getting a response from the unemployment office. After weeks of trying, Jennifer reached out to Congresswoman Horn. Amanda in Congresswoman Horn’s office resolved Jennifer’s case and she received all of the money she was owed.

“I spend 3.5 hours on hold with the unemployment office and when someone finally answers I feel like they are giving me answers read off a card. No one even offers to open my file and look. Amanda gets me answers and I appreciate her!”
-Jennifer, Newalla

William is a senior and a tax Non-Filer. He needed information on direct deposit procedures for his stimulus check. Congresswoman Horn’s office walked through the process with William so he could receive his stimulus check in a timely manner.

“I did not understand the stimulus procedures. Congresswoman’s office called me in person the next day and explained how it worked very patiently."
-William, Shawnee

After struggling for months to get unemployment assistance in the midst of COVID-19 and a simultaneous oil crisis, Matthew reached out to Congresswoman Horn and was able to get his unemployment payment.

“I have been an Independent Petroleum Landman for the last 14 years, mainly serving in a contract labor capacity; but for a brief stint in 2019, I secured a salary position.

This position is what has afforded me the unemployment benefits that I have tried to obtain. I would like to note that it feels to me that none of the years I have labored as a tax paying small business owner has counted in the eyes of the State of Oklahoma as credible for assistance. I digress, after months of waiting for my account to be cleared by the State due to my status as both a W-2 employee and 1099 contractor, Rep. Horn’s office stepped in and straightened out my case in a matter of hours.

The level of compassion and humanity I was treated with by Rachel, Shamia and Amanda, combined with their immediate action on my behalf, has left me absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude. Words cannot express my appreciation knowing that they have dedicate their time to assist our State Agencies while they fumble their way through one of the worst events in modern history restores hope in my heart for Oklahoma. For them to lend a hand in such a herculean effort to assist the tens of thousands of others in the same boat as I am, is nothing short heroic. I salute [Congresswoman Horn’s] efforts as an exemplary Oklahoman, and thank her for being a light in the darkness for my family.

Beth, a retired teacher, reached out to Congresswoman Horn’s office because she could not get through to the unemployment office, didn’t qualify for the Paycheck Protection Program, and the SBA loans had already run out of money. Congresswoman Horn’s office helped Beth navigate the Economic Injury Disaster Loan application and connected her with the local Small Business Administration office. Beth was approved for her loan less than two weeks later.

“I can’t thank you enough for your assistance. Kendra definitely is needed now more than ever. Thank you, Kendra, and everyone else involved so very much!”
-Beth, Luther

Landi reached out to Congresswoman Horn’s office for help navigating Medicaid qualification for her son. Congresswoman Horn’s office helped ensure Landi and her son had the resources they needed.

“My son was born with a terminal genetic disease. Along with providing for my chronically ill son having to try and navigate through the loopholes of SSI disability, Medicaid, etc., it made it nearly impossible to jump through all the hoops the system has setup just to get assistance. It should not be hard. Kendra Horn’s team helped be a voice for me and my son.”
-Landi, Oklahoma City
