Washington DC Visitors
Are you planning a visit to Washington, DC? While you are in Washington, DC, I encourage you and your family to stop by my office. Whether you're coming on a short business trip, or an extended family vacation, my office can help you make arrangements for some of the more popular Federal attractions in our Nation's Capital.
Tour Requests
We are able to help you reserve tours to the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Library of Congress, the Kennedy Center, the Supreme Court, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. You may place an online tour request. These tours are an excellent way to see all that the nation's capital has to offer and all of these tours are of no charge to you. All tickets are provided to my constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances.

National Museum of African-American History and Culture
During peak season (March-August), passes are required for entry before 1pm, and at all times on the weekends. Tickets can be obtained 3 months in advance on the first Wednesday of every month, or at 6:30am for day-of passes. Walk-up entry is allowed after 1pm on weekdays
During off-peak season (September-February), passes are only required on weekends. Walk-up visitors are welcome all day on weekdays.
The Diplomatic Reception Rooms of the Department of State, which are used for official functions hosted by the Secretary of State and other high level government officials, are open for pre-arranged tours at no charge. These rooms hold a premier collection of 18th century American furniture, paintings and decorative arts.
Guided tours are conducted Monday through Friday at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, and 2:45 pm. Tours are 45 minutes in duration.
The Pentagon offers a tour that highlights the respective missions of the five Armed Services, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the Joint Staff. The tour includes a 60-minute presentation and a walk through the building.
To take a guided tour of the Pentagon you need to book reservations at least 14 days in advance. Tour dates are only available 90 days in advance.
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
The Museum is open from 10 a.m. -6:30 p.m. from March 25th-June 14th and until 5:30 p.m. the rest of the year. Tickets for tours of the Museum are required for dates between March 1st- August 31st. There are three ways to get a ticket for your visit: Advance tickets online, same-day tickets online, and same-day tickets in person. Tickets are generally free, but if you are ordering tickets online they are subject to a $1 transaction fee. Same-day tickets are distributed in person outside the Museum beginning at 9:45 a.m. for visits throughout the day.
The Museum offers guided tours at 9:45, Monday through Friday for groups of up to 15 people. There are five exhibition galleries in the Museum including the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom which is the home of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. Reservations are not required to visit the Museum. However, reservations are highly recommended from March – Labor Day. Self-guided Timed-Entry reservations are offered every 15 minutes beginning at 10:30 am and continue until 90 minutes before closing.
The Washington Monument is currently CLOSED for repairs and will open in August of 2019. For updates, please see the National Park Service website.
