Blue Ridge Fire Information

On Monday, October 26th Southern California was under a high wind advisory, with projections of winds between 30-40 mphs, with gusts up to 80 mph in certain locations. At around 12:55 PM a fire was reported in the city of Corona in Riverside County called the Green Fire. As the fire spread into San Bernardino and Orange Counties the fire was renamed to the Blue Ridge Fire.

  • A temporary evacuation point for displaced Yorba Linda residents has been established at the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House located at 4701 Casa Loma Ave, Yorba Linda, CA 92886. 
  • Small animals may be brought to OC Animal Care Services at 1630 Victoria Road in the City of Tustin.

  • Residents who are in the mandatory evacuation areas may utilize the Emergency Shelter where City and County agencies, along with the American Red Cross, can provide food, emergency hotel vouchers and evacuation facilities for both large and small domesticated animals. The Center is located at Chino Hills Community Center at 14250 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills, CA 91709.

  • The Chino Valley Fire District continues to ask residents to create a fire profile for their residents and those who live in the same home. The profile will help the Fire District to respond better to your home in any kind of an emergency. You can create a profile here.
  • Chino Hills residents who are under evacuation orders--especially those who are on the west side of the fire--may also drive to the evacuation centers in Placentia, Brea, and Yorba Linda:

  • Evacuation Warning has been issued in the area south of Diamond Bar. Those in the area should be prepared for a potential evacuation by gathering loved ones and supplies.
