Cárdenas Applauds House Passage of National Apprenticeship Act of 2020

Today, the United States House of Representatives passed National Apprenticeship Act of 2020 (H.R.8294), which expands registered apprenticeships and invests in America's workforce. The bill includes the Expanding Opportunity through Pre-Apprenticeships Act, which was introduced as an amendment by Representative Tony Cárdenas (CA-29) in September. Cárdenas Applauds House Passage of Pandemic Effects on Home Safety and Tourism Act

Yesterday, the United States House of Representatives passed the Pandemic Effects on Home Safety and Tourism Act, a bill introduced by Congressman Tony Cárdenas (CA-29) in August. This bill would require the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to study the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on injuries and deaths associated with consumer products. Lawmakers ask gov't to prevent Trump from putting name on Washington hotel

Two Democratic lawmakers have asked the U.S. government to prohibit Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump from displaying his name on the facade of his new hotel in Washington after his "insulting" comments about Latinos and women. New adult wellness center opens in city of San Fernando

Hoping to serve more people with medical needs, Northeast Valley Health Corp. formally dedicated its $5 million adult wellness center Wednesday in the City of San Fernando, near the agency's first health clinic. The 10,000-square-foot facility is the third one to be built on the San Fernando Health Center campus, where an additional 2,500 adults will be seen.
