The American Expatriate Caucus was founded in 2018 to give the 9 million Americans living and working overseas a voice in their government. Whether it is taxation, travel or voting, the Expat community is subject to a very specific set of rules governing their daily lives. The caucus is a collection of members dedicated to providing Americans around the globe with resources specific to the Expat community, regardless of where they are.

About the Chairman

Congressman Steven Palazzo serves as the Chairman of the U.S. Expatriate Caucus. Following activation as a Marine Corps Reservist in the Desert Storm Desert Shield conflict during his college years, Congressman Palazzo finished his undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting, and began a career that would take him from Oil Rigs in the Gulf of Mexico to Eastern Europe and the Middle East as a U.S. Expat. After spending several years overseas working for an American defense contractor, Steven started his own small business in his home state of Mississippi providing tax services for Expats around the globe. Congressman Palazzo was elected to Congress by the people of the 4th District of Mississippi in 2010 and serves on the powerful House Appropriations Committee.
