Congressman Michael Turner

Chairman Mike Turner (OH-10) of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces was appointed as a member of the House delegation to negotiate the differences between the House and Senate versions of the National Defense Authorization Act.

Congressman Turner successfully pushed for the release of a report examining the health effects of exposure to certain chemicals in water.

The U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed by voice-vote bipartisan legislation sponsored by Congressmen Turner and Paul Tonko (NY-20) to give states flexibility to expand access to addiction treatment for individuals completing their time in jail or prison.

Congressman Turner was able to secure $182M for a new building at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the defense bill.
