  • Meet Sam

Congressman Sam Graves is a lifelong resident of Missouri's Sixth Congressional District. As a small businessman and a sixth-generation family farmer, Sam has spent his life working to make Missouri a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
  • Graves Fights to Bring Long-Term Certainty to Federal Highway Funding Systems

The president has made rebuilding our transportation network a priority, and rightfully so. But, instead of thinking a one-time investment would solve our long-term infrastructure problems, Graves is focused is on making sure the federal government shows restraint and responsibility in planning for and funding projects in the future.
  • Graves Writes Bill to Limit Illegal Immigration, Force DHS to Enforce Visa Laws

Sam has always fought to stop amnesty, and this year he's introduced bills that will keep our illegal immigration numbers down. His latest will force the Department of Homeland Security to take advantage of technologies that make sure anyone living in America on an expired visa is deported. It’s not just a matter of economic security, it’s a matter of national security.
  • Congressman Graves Continues his Defense of the Second Amendment

Graves wrote and introduced the Defending Gun Rights Against Executive Overreach Act, defunding all of President Obama's unconstitutional, anti-gun executive orders from earlier this year. In July Sam also introduced a bill that will prevent local governments from issuing new taxes that put guns and ammunition out of financial reach for most Missourians.
  • Graves Votes to Repeal Dodd-Frank, End Era of Big Bank Bailouts

Just like we see all the time when Washington tries to step in and fix all of our problems, Dodd-Frank hurt the same people it was supposed to help. But worse, it hit rural America the hardest, allowing big banks to get bigger and crushing small businesses' ability to get the loans they need. That's why Graves helped pass a bill that repeals 'too big to fail,' and makes taxpayer bailouts of Wall Street a thing of the past.
