Welcome

The Congressional Career and Technical Education Caucus is a bipartisan group of Representatives committed to supporting and promoting CTE. Co-chaired by Reps. Jim Langevin (D-RI) and Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (R-PA), the caucus is comprised of members of Congress representing constituents from across the United States and transcends the ideological spectrum.

CTE programs exist in every congressional district and every state. The goals of the bipartisan caucus are to educate and promote quality CTE programs and well-paying, family-sustaining jobs. These fields include STEM disciplines, nursing, allied health, construction, information technology, energy, cybersecurity, sustainability, and other areas that keep our nation competitive in the global economy.

The skilled trades are the hardest jobs to fill in the United States, with hundreds of thousands of jobs open in the manufacturing, transportation and utilities sectors. CTE programs assist businesses in closing the skills gap by training a competitive workforce to fulfill these 21st Century demands.
