Interagency Cyber Cooperation: Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities of the Department of Defense & the Department of Homeland Security

The purpose of this joint hearing with the Armed Services Subcommittee of Emerging Threats and Capabilities is to examine the roles, responsibilities, and response activities of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in relation to cybersecurity and cyber incident response. DoD and DHS play significant roles as cyber threats from foreign adversaries and criminals continue to advance. It is essential for Congress to understand the distinct operations of both agencies as well as all efforts for cooperation and collaboration to enhance the nation’s cybersecurity.
