Change will take effect of January 2, 2019
For several years, the United States Capitol Police (USCP) has produced a summary that reports on the arrests made by the Department. The report is compiled and is generated weekly by the USCP Public Information Office, and it was distributed via email.

The late President George H.W. Bush will lie in state in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018, through 7 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Members of the public and Congressional community are invited to pay their respects at the U.S. Capitol.
At approximately 9:15 a.m., the United States Capitol Police (USCP) Hazardous Devices Section responded to a report of one suspicious package addressed to a Member of Congress at a Congressional Offsite Mail Screening Facility. The facility was evacuated as a precaution.
