  • U.S. Exports by Metropolitan Area, Third Quarter 2018

    The Department of Commerce released the report, U.S. Exports By Metropolitan Area, Third Quarter 2018. It provides quarterly, not seasonally adjusted data on exports by metropolitan areas. (December 12, 2018)

  • The U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services Deficit Increased in October 2018

    The nation's international trade deficit in goods and services increased to $55.5 billion in October from $54.6 billion in September (revised), as exports decreased and imports increased. (December 6, 2018)

  • The Advance International Trade in Goods Deficit Increased in October 2018

    The nation's international advance trade in goods deficit increased to $77.2 billion in October from $76.3 billion in September as exports decreased and imports increased. (November 28, 2018)

  • Global Market Finder: An interactive tool for U.S. exporters

    The Census Bureau has created a data visualization tool that will help users find detailed international trade in goods statistics for specific commodity codes, countries of destination, and modes of transportation.

  • Presentation Slides: Inaugural Understanding International Trade Conference

    Presentation slides from the November 14, 2018 inaugural data user conference at Census are now available. The conference focused on the international trade process, from data collection through accessing international trade statistics through our growing number of data user resources.

  • Preliminary Profile of U.S. Exporting Companies, 2017

    The Department of Commerce released the report, A Preliminary Profile of U.S. Exporting Companies, 2017. It provides information on identified companies and their known export value. (October 5, 2018)

  • FRED Mobile App

    Receive the latest updates on the nation's key economic indicators by downloading the FRED App for both Apple and Android devices. FRED, the signature database of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, now incorporates the Census Bureau's 13 economic indicators.

  • The 2016 Manufacturing and International Trade Report (MITR)

    The Manufacturing and International Trade Report (MITR) is an annual report from the U.S. Census Bureau, which provides a comprehensive comparison between detailed manufacturing product class data and associated import and export data. The 2016 MITR combines statistics from the 2016 Annual Survey of Manufactures and official U.S. export and import merchandise trade statistics. (February 28, 2018)

  • Imports and Exports by Related Parties, 2016

    The Department of Commerce released the report, U.S. Goods Trade: Imports & Exports by Related-Parties 2016. Related-party trade accounted for 42.4 percent ($1,537.4 billion) of total goods trade ($3,624.6 billion). Related-party total goods trade is based on consumption imports and total exports. (July 13, 2017)

  • Monthly Trade Statistics Added to the Census API

    Monthly International Trade data, back to January 2013, are now available in the Census Application Programming Interface (API). New monthly trade data will be added every month. (June 5, 2017)
