The Cannon Building's Refreshed Rotunda

The Cannon Building rotunda has been returned to its original appearance when the building opened in 1908.
Phase 1 of the Cannon Renewal was recently completed and as members, staff and the public enter the Cannon House Office Building's historic rotunda, they will encounter something new — but it is actually something old. *Editor's Note: The Lighting Ceremony was originally scheduled for Wednesday, December 5. It has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 6, 2018. The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) selects the annual U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree in consultation with the United States Forest Service. This year's tree, sponsored by the Oregon Congressional Delegation led by U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, was chosen from the Willamette National Forest.
