    Hey guess what? If Trump REALLY cared about the border, he wouldn’t have: 1. SHUT DOWN INDEFINITELY the department that oversees the border. 2. Left unspent 94% of the border improvement funding Congress gave him over the last 2 years. Right?

    Yes, just like Mexico is paying for the wall...

    Senator Bob Corker just stated that, “I’m so priveledged to serve in the Senate for twelve years, and that’s what I told the people of our state that’s what I’d do, serve for two terms.” But that is Not True - wanted to run but poll numbers TANKED when I wouldn’t endorse him.....

    In latest poll, share in each group that supports building if Mexico does not pay: 18-34, 23%; 35-49, 35%; college+ whites, 30%; independents, 32%; non-whites, 22%. All the groups that powered Dem mid-term win overwhelmingly oppose wall, esp w/out Mexico $.

    There are a million reasons why $5B for a wall is a ludicrous demand to shut down the government over. But here’s maybe the best one: the 2017/2018 budgets gave Trump billions for border upgrades. He’s spent ALMOST NONE of it. 6%. How about spending the money you have first?

    Uhhhh...you don’t know your own coordinator of the anti-ISIS campaign? Over the past 5 years, no one has done more to put ISIS on its heels than Brett. We all know and rely on him. The fact that our President has no clue who Brett is should scare the hell out of every American.

    Brett McGurk, who I do not know, was appointed by President Obama in 2015. Was supposed to leave in February but he just resigned prior to leaving. Grandstander? The Fake News is making such a big deal about this nothing event!

    FYI we just had a referendum on Trump’s border policy (a month and a half ago, remember?) and those that supported it generally got their clocks cleaned. Generally, not a great idea in a democracy to give a middle finger to the voters right after an election, amirite?

    So this is right, but the Kurds are such a strong (and therefore vulnerable) position in Syria bc U.S. pushed them to clear out ISIS and hold territory, but never cut a deal w Turkey for the Kurds' long term protection. Once again, lots of tactics, no endgame strategy.

    People talk about the US in Syria in very generic "another dumb war" terms but it's also something very specific involving a small ethnic minority facing the very real threat of ethnic cleansing
