    This threat is as empty as the offices of federal agencies that have already been shut down because of Trump’s hissy fit over funding for his wall. Trump might know how to close his foundation, his university, and his mind, but he can’t close our Southern border in a fit of rage.

    We will be forced to close the Southern Border entirely if the Obstructionist Democrats do not give us the money to finish the Wall & also change the ridiculous immigration laws that our Country is saddled with. Hard to believe there was a Congress & President who would approve!

    Republicans hold the House, Senate, & White House until January 3rd. They shut this government down & they have an obligation to open it back up. If they continue refusing to do so, will move to responsibly end the on day one of the new Congress.

    I just tried to bring up a bill to end the & reopen the government, but the wouldnt even recognize me to speak. This is absurd! Federal workers shouldn’t be held hostage by the president’s useless and offensive wall that he promised Mexico would pay for.

    The President (who calls himself a very stable genius) is spending Christmas Eve alone & ranting incoherently on Twitter over a crisis which he created & could easily end. Meanwhile, 800,000+ federal workers are now at risk of losing their pay over the holidays. Shameful!

    I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security. At some point the Democrats not wanting to make a deal will cost our Country more money than the Border Wall we are all talking about. Crazy!

    We’re barreling toward a Trump shutdown in hours. Yet Rules Committee Republicans literally used emergency procedures to bring up a bill today... on cheese. They don’t have time to discuss keeping the lights on, but cheese ranks as a national emergency. Are you kidding me?
