Veterans

As the son of a career Army officer who worked his way through the enlisted ranks, I care about Veterans and their families. Our offices remain committed to ensuring they get the help they deserve. One of my number one priorities is ensuring that when soldiers come home they have the resources necessary to return to civilian life and the access to the best healthcare through the VA.

We have Our Vision for Veterans which outlines the ways we can further assist veterans from transitioning to civilian life and taking care of their health to ways we can better serve their families.

Specifically, we are supportive of the CHOICE program which allows Veterans the option to visit local doctors should the wait to see one at the VA be too long or if they live in a rural area and have difficult making it to their nearest VA. There have been many failings, recently, in the Veterans Affairs administration and I remain committed to fixing the problems.

I am committed to providing our servicemen and women, along with their families, the care they deserve.  We have a staffer dedicated to veterans issues in our Corning district office. Should you or someone you know be having trouble with the VA, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
