Protecting Our Right to Vote

There are few things as sacred to the American people as the right to vote.  Previous generations fought, bled and died so that you and I would have a voice in our democracy.  Unfortunately in the last year, there has been a nationwide assault on the voting rights of American citizens by those who wish to suppress voter turnout for their own political gain.

The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) is committed to ensuring that every eligible citizen, no matter their background, has access to the polls.  But state governments across the country are enacting laws making it much harder for as many as 5 million Americans to vote, in particular, the elderly, youth, the disabled and minorities. As a result, there are thousands of voters at risk of being turned away on Election Day.

In order to ensure that all eligible Americans have access to the polls, CAPAC is promoting the voter registration app that allows users to check their registration status, learn about any new requirements, and successfully register in their state or territory.
