2018 VA Medical Facility Star Ratings

The Department of Veterans Affairs ranked 146 medical centers across the country with one- to five-star ratings based on its quality of care. The rating addresses access to care, quality of mental health care, employee perception about the organization, nursing turnover, and efficiency. 

What is SAIL?

Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning Value Model or SAIL, is a system for summarizing hospital system performance within Veterans Health Administration (VHA). SAIL assesses 25 Quality measures in areas such as death rate, complications, and patient satisfaction, as well as overall efficiency and physician capacity at individual VA Medical Centers (VAMCs).
