Our national debt now exceeds $18 trillion. For the sake of our children’s future, we must focus our energy on attacking this existential threat to our prosperity and power.

Nature is not a renewable resource, and we should take care to continue Teddy Roosevelt’s legacy of conservation. Staten Island is the “Borough of Parks,” and it’s important to me that future generations have the same opportunities to explore and discover all that nature has to offer.

Gun Control and Second Amendment Rights

I spent most of my career as a prosecutor keeping criminals off of our streets. I know from experience that providing law enforcement with the tools they need to combat illegal gun crime is critical to our community’s safety. We can strike a balance in protecting the Second Amendment while keeping weapons away from those who wish to harm us.

Health Care

America continues to lead the world in healthcare innovation. The most promising new drugs, treatments, and devices are being developed in the United States to the benefit of the whole world. To continue the advancements made in this field, I voted to support the 21st Century Cures Act.
