Internships
I am happy to offer internship opportunities for undergraduate students who would like to learn first-hand about the workings of Capitol Hill and constituent services in my district offices. Interns have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process, interact with constituents, develop research skills, and assist with administrative responsibilities.
My internship program is open to college undergraduates, regardless of major. There are two different programs. The summer program consists of two sessions (six-weeks each) and can accommodate a maximum of five students per session. The academic year program is for undergraduates who are attending a DC-area college or who are participating in a semester in Washington program sponsored by a college or university. All internships are unpaid, and candidates are responsible for paying their travel and living expenses.
I am now accepting applications for my Spring internship program in my Washington, DC and Raleigh, NC offices.
Application Deadline:
Friday, Novemeber 9, 2018.
Internship Dates in Raleigh and Washington:
