    We were proud to defeat Republicans’ early Christmas present to private insurance companies, includ those who take advantage of our constituents. In the impending Dem House we will push for bipartisan, sustainable flood insurance reform.

    Joined in defeating a last minute GOP effort to add a controversial giveaway to insurance companies as part of an extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) at the expense of policyholders and taxpayers.

    Paterson’s favorite son will finally be given the recognition from the United States government he has long deserved. Larry Doby was a man of unshakable courage and incredible character. I can’t wait for Larry’s family to accept the Medal in the Capitol Rotunda next year.
