WASHINGTON – Montana Congressman Greg Gianforte yesterday introduced the Tribal Addiction and Recovery Act, the TARA Act, with Congressman Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma.
The legislation will combat meth use across Montana and improve the ability of Indian tribes to address the scourge of meth.
“Don’t give up hope.”
That’s the message U.S. Representative Greg Gianforte (R-Mont.) gives children he meets around the state. That’s what he told the 7th-12th grade students at Harlowton earlier this week.
And, on Thursday morning, Gianforte shared this same message with the Fergus County Sheriff’s Department, Fergus County Commissioner Ross Butcher, Fergus County Attorney Kent Sipe and Nexus Administrator Rick Barman in a conference room at the Nexus treatment complex.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Montana Congressman Greg Gianforte recently introduced the Clean Water for Rural Communities Act, legislation to improve Montana’s rural water infrastructure.
“Unfortunately, not all Montanans have access to a reliable water supply,” said Gianforte. “The Clean Water for Rural Communities Act will better ensure more than 20,000 Montanans in our rural communities have a steady supply of water.”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Montana Congressman Greg Gianforte urged House Speaker Paul Ryan to ensure continued and predictable funding for community health centers that serve Montanans who rely on them for access to health care.
Gianforte and 103 of his colleagues wrote in a letter to Speaker Ryan, “We write to express our serious concerns over the expiration of the Community Health Centers Fund (CHCF), and to urge you to include a reauthorization of the fund as part of the next moving piece of legislation to be signed into law.”
