Reports that former FBI Director James Comey wrote a memo as documentation after President Trump asked him to stop the investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn's involvement with Russia are shocking. If this report is accurate, it's clear to me that the President tried to obstruct justice, especially when we know he later fired Comey and stated it was because of the Russia investigation. Other presidents have faced impeachment for obstruction of justice, once proven. I hope that some ethical Republicans join Democrats later this week when we move to discharge the bipartisan bill to establish an independent commission to fully investigate all these reports.
