WASHINGTON, D.C. – Democracy Reform Task Force Chair Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.) today led House Democrats in releasing a new report that found 600 instances of corruption, conflicts of interest and ethical abuses in the Trump Administration.

The report, “The Republican Culture of Corruption: 600 Ways in 600 Days,” builds on previous reports issued by the Democracy Reform Task Force in June 2018, February 2018 and in November 2017, August 2017 and April 2017.

“The fish rots from the head,” said Congressman Sarbanes. “Following the example set by President Trump, officials throughout his administration and even Republican Members of Congress have attempted to use public office for private gain – all at the expense of the health, safety and prosperity of hardworking Americans.”

The new report features 600 ways that President Trump and his Administration have made a mockery of government transparency and accountability, ignored ethics laws and norms, and used the Office of the Presidency to boost their business interests.
