U.S. House of Representatives

For Gallery Members

All members of the electronic media covering news on Capitol Hill must be accredited by the Radio-TV Galleries. Learn about the guidelines for acquiring credentials and be sure to review the rules for covering of Congress. Any accredited media organizations interested in covering a committee hearing must notify the Gallery the night prior to the hearing. Review the procedures for covering committee hearings. Given that the space in committee hearing rooms are limited, discover which rooms are live locations and which rooms have specific camera limits. More broadly, view a list of live locations within the U.S. Capitol complex, as well as in the Cannon, Longworth, and Rayburn House office buildings. View a map displaying designated standup areas around the U.S. Capitol and find out which locations are deemed acceptable to conduct exclusive interviews.
