“I am grateful for this opportunity to fight for Michigan on the House Ways and Means Committee. Our state is home to one of the most diverse economies in the nation, and that includes our pivotal role in international trade. We have a real opportunity this Congress to grow our economy and help families get ahead – just as we did in the Comeback State. I am ready to get to work with Chairman Brady and the Committee to simplify our tax code, create more jobs and replace Obamacare with a health care law that works for more hardworking Americans." –Congressman Mike Bishop, MI-08

“I’m thrilled to welcome Mike as the newest Republican Member of our Committee. After serving in his state legislature for over a decade, Mike came to Congress to continue serving the workers, families, students, and small business owners of Michigan. He is a fantastic addition to our team because he works hard, understands our issues, and is committed to solving real problems. As our Committee moves forward with our pro-growth agenda, I look forward to having Mike’s valuable perspective on issues that affect the lives of his constituents in the 8th district of Michigan and all Americans.” –Committee Chairman Kevin Brady
