About the Co-Chairs

The Congressional Motorcycle Caucus in the United States House of Representatives is co-chaired by Rep. Michael Burgess, M.D. (R-TX) and Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI). Together with nearly 30 other members of the caucus, Congressmen Burgess and Walberg are proven leaders on Capitol Hill for riders, their families, and all Americans that share the roads with motorcycles.

After spending nearly three decades practicing medicine in North Texas, Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D., was first elected to Congress in 2002. He currently serves on the House Rules Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee where he is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Health.

Congressman Tim Walberg was first elected to Congress in 2006 and is currently serving his fourth term as the representative of Michigan's 7th District. Motorcycle riding has been a passion of his since his 20th birthday, and he enjoys spending time outdoors riding on his Harley.

Together, Congressmen Burgess and Walberg lead a bipartisan group of talented legislators with a unique understanding and commitment to the issues that face riders everywhere.
