(WASHINGTON, DC) – Representative Conor Lamb (PA-18) issued the following statement after the House Democratic Caucus vote to elect the next Speaker of the House:
"Today, I voted not to elect Leader Pelosi as the next Speaker of the House. Over the past year, I’ve found that people in western Pennsylvania want new leadership in Congress on both sides. I agree. I believe we need new leadership to put the partisan gridlock behind us, and I promised my constituents I would vote for new leadership. That’s what I did today, and what I’ll do on the floor."
