    400K+ Americans in essential jobs will begin working without pay tonight. ~150K are safety officers, including in FBI, DHS, & USCG. To all of you, I’m sorry Congress is letting you down again. Thank you for continuing to protect & serve us. We will do better in the new Congress.

    Just got home from Afghanistan where I got to spend time with a lot of U.S. servicemembers, many from PA, and thank them for all they do for us. As I spend time with my family this Thanksgiving, thinking of all the military families sacrificing that time to protect us.

    A 2.8% COLA increase in 2019 is good news for seniors, survivors & people w/ disabilities who have earned benefits, but it’s not enough. We need to work together to expand & strengthen Social Security.
