Washington, D.C. – At the turn of midnight on December 22, 2018, the U.S. government went into a partial government shutdown. Congressman Randy Weber (R – Friendswood) released the following statement:

“The House listened and sent the answer to the Senate. Rather than working together to better border security, Democrats shut down seven agencies. The Senate Democrats need to get in gear; it takes 60 votes. The ball is in their court. It’s time they start listening to the American people and fund border security, disaster relief and our seven key agencies.”
