Congressional Art Contest
Every spring, Congress recognizes talented high school students in each congressional district through a visual art competition. The Annual Congressional Art Competition, An Artistic Discovery, is a fantastic way to feature the talent of Texas District 31.
The winning artwork from each Congressional District will be displayed for one year, in the Cannon Office Building tunnel that leads into the U.S. Capitol. In addition, the winner from Texas District 31 will be awarded two roundtrip airline tickets to Washington, D.C., as well as accommodations for two nights in Washington, D.C.
If you wish to enter the annual Congressional Art Competition please contact your high school counselor and art department for the art submission checklist, artwork guidelines, a list of important dates, and a student release form.
For any additional questions or information please visit the Congressional Art Contest Website, or
Contact Julie Sharifian at our Round Rock office at 512-246-1600 or via email: Julie.Sharifian@mail.house.gov.
