RECENT VOTESH.R. 2895: National Affordable Housing Trust Fund ActOctober 11, 2007 On Thursday, October 11, the House considered H.R. 2895: National Affordable Housing Trust Fund Act of 2007. This legislation establishes a national affordable housing trust fund to construct or rehabilitate 1.5 million housing units over the next ten years. Between $800 million and $1 billion a year will be available to states and local communities to increase their affordable housing stock. Money from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Housing Administration will be used for the Trust Fund. I have worked with many of my colleagues to establish an affordable housing trust fund since coming to Congress and am pleased to see H.R. 2895 advance. I voted YES.
