Nebraska Breakfast
Are you planning to visit Washington, D.C.? Come to the Nebraska Breakfast.
WHAT IS THE NEBRASKA BREAKFAST?
In 1943, U.S. Senator Hugh Butler initiated a weekly informal meeting of the Nebraska delegation to discuss legislation. Members of the delegation began inviting guests, and soon a tradition was born: the Wednesday morning Nebraska Breakfast.
The Nebraska Breakfast is the oldest ongoing gathering of its kind on Capitol Hill. All Nebraskans visiting Washington D.C. and their guests are invited to attend and visit with their Congressional delegation.
2018 NEBRASKA BREAKFAST SCHEDULE
This year, I am the host of the annual Nebraska Breakfast. The Nebraska Breakfast is held on Wednesdays when both the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session. Beginning at 8:00 a.m., the breakfast is held in the Southside Buffet located in the Dirksen Senate Office Building. Coffee is provided for attendees, and hot and cold breakfast items are available for purchase as well. RSVP here or call my Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-4155.
