Congressman Bacon does not support altering or reducing Social Security for those who are currently in or near retirement. With the average life expectancy increasing in the United States, The Congressman believes we should consider the possibility of adjusting current long-term policies to ensure the viability of Social Security for future generations.
Medicare Open Enrollment is October 15 – December 7
OMAHA, NE – Staff members from Congressman Don Bacon’s (NE-02) District office will join Volunteers Assisting Seniors (VAS) for several Medicare Open Enrollment events throughout the district. Medicare Open Enrollment begins October 15 and continues through December 7.
OMAHA, NE. – Staff members from Congressman Don Bacon’s (NE-02) District office will join Volunteers Assisting Seniors (VAS) for several Medicare Open Enrollment events throughout the district. Medicare Open Enrollment will start October 15 and continue until December 7.
The VAS receives a federal grant through the Nebraska Department of Insurance to provide unbiased, objective information to seniors about Medicare coverage options to help them make an informed choice.

Congressman Don Bacon, representing the 2nd District of Nebraska, held this live event to discuss the concerns of his constituents. He spoke about education and believes that the local school boards should be making decisions for their district. Congressman Bacon stated he supports President Trump’s temporary travel ban and is in favor of improving the vetting procedures. The congressman also spoke about protecting the environment and that he supports efforts to find renewable and sustainable energy.
