Historic Tax Cuts for Hoosiers Signed into Law

CARMEL, IN – Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks (R-IN05) issued the following statement after President Donald Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law:

“The signing of these historic tax cuts into law is a win for people who need tax relief the most: middle-income families. By doubling the standard deduction, increasing the Child Tax credit, lowering the threshold for the medical expense deduction, continuing graduate student tuition exemptions and reducing the tax burden on all taxpayers, Hoosiers in the Fifth District will soon take home more of the money they work so hard to earn. I applaud my colleagues in the House, members of the Senate and the Administration for their commitment to delivering a fairer and simpler tax code to hardworking Americans before the start of the new year.”
