Over the weekend, Hurricane Irma hit the state of Florida, devastating many areas with hurricane force winds and flooding, as well as leaving millions without power and damaging countless homes. Fortunately, through their tireless work as the storm approached, emergency management officials at every level of government were able to help minimize the damage as much as possible. As we begin to recover and rebuild from the destruction of Hurricane Irma, I want you to know that my office and I are here to help.
