U.S.-Japan Caucus Announces New Co-Chair, Congressman Dave Reichert

Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S.-Japan Caucus announced that Congressman Dave Reichert (WA-08) will replace Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., MD (LA-03) as Co-Chair of the Caucus with Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20). Rep. Reichert serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade, and is also a member of the Subcommittee on Tax Policy and the Subcommittee on Human Resources. 

“I am grateful for Congressman Boustany’s leadership on the U.S.-Japan Caucus and am thrilled to welcome Congressman Reichert as our new co-chair,” said Rep. Castro. “Congressman Reichert cares deeply not only about strengthening the U.S.-Japan bilateral relationship, but also about enhancing the entire region’s security and economic prosperity. Rep. Reichert’s trade expertise and perspective as a representative from a Pacific state will bring new energy to the caucus leadership, and I look forward to working with him.”
