Congresswoman Diana DeGette

Co-Chair
Congresswoman Diana DeGette represents the first congressional district of Colorado, which includes the city of Denver and nearby suburbs. A life-long Coloradoan, Rep. DeGette is guided by traditional Western values and emerged as a leader for women's reproductive rights early on in the Colorado House of Representatives, where she sponsored legislation to separate clinic patients and employees from protesters. The "Bubble Bill" required protesters to stay 8 feet away from patients — an attempt to reduce confrontations that eventually withstood a challenge in the U.S. Supreme Court. Currently serving her 11th term in Congress, she has been a leading voice in the fight to protect and expand reproductive rights for every woman. As the mother of two daughters, she cares deeply about ensuring these constitutionally guaranteed rights for future generations of American women.

Congresswoman Barbara Lee

Co-Chair
Congresswoman Barbara Lee proudly serves the 13th Congressional District of California, representing the cities of Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, Piedmont, and San Leandro. In her twenty years in the House of Representatives, Congresswoman Lee has fought for human rights, justice and peace in the U.S. and around the world. Congresswoman Lee is a fierce advocate for gender equality and reproductive justice, working to ensure equal pay for equal work, protect women’s health care, and expand access to affordable childcare and paid family leave. She is the author of the EACH Woman Act, which would repeal the discriminatory Hyde Amendment and ensure that all American women – regardless of race, zip code, income, or insurance provider – can access the full range of reproductive health care options, including abortion.
