We need to stop catering to politicians’ self-delusion. We have more border patrol agents, ICE agents, dentention centers than ever before with less migration than in years past. We became the most powerful, prosperous nation on earth without a wall.

Joaquin please make sure to harp on the drug issue as well. Since 90% of drugs come through ports of entry, some through planes, and some through tunnels, the wall will address maybe 5% of drug traffic and not even entirely stop that. We could spend a fraction of that at ports.

People who live near the border don’t want it either. Those who don’t, want it the most.

Trump’s desire to change the damaging media narrative re: investigations is making him act erratically — Syria & Afghanistan withdrawals w/o planning, last minute flip-flop on border wall funding, etc. Reminds me of an 18-wheeler swaying from side-to-side abt to tip over.

Words fail me. The President is having conversations w/the Acting AG he installed (w/out Senate confirmation) about a criminal case in which he is directly implicated. Compare U.S. Constit., Art. II "he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed"

  21. Student loan debt in the US is staggering, reaching a record $1.4 trillion. Cost should not be a barrier for people trying to get a college degree. I look forward to working on legislation next Congress that ensures access and affordability to all.
