Allen (R-Ga-12) issued the following statement after President Donald Trump signed H.R. 3946 into law, legislation sponsored by Congressman Allen to rename the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) community-based outpatient clinic in Statesboro, Georgia, the “Ray Hendrix Department of Veterans Affairs Clinic.” “Sergeant Major Ray Hendrix committed his life to serving our nation and defending the freedoms that we, as Americans, are so blessed to have,” said Congressman Rick Allen. “After forty-two years of fearless and dedicated service, Sergeant Major Hendrix made it his duty to give back to the veterans’ community in Georgia by being an effective and valued board member of the State Veterans Service Board, fighting to establish the Statesboro VA Clinic, serving as an active voice in the American Legion, and much more.
