Yesterday, House Republicans voted for a Trump Shutdown of the federal government.   And now – knowing that he doesn’t have the votes in the Senate to fund his immoral, ineffective and expensive wall – President Trump is throwing a tantrum, threatening a “very long” shutdown.

Today, outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan teased his 6-part docuseries “Decades in the Making” touting Republicans’ biggest legislative “accomplishment” in two years: the GOP tax scam for the rich.

As Democrats move to achieve their bold agenda to lower health care costs, increase workers’ pay and clean up corruption in Washington, over 30 leading groups – ranging from labor, health care, environmental, gun reform and more – have come out in support of Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House.  As the groups conclude, Leader Pelosi is battle-tested and has a proven track record of delivering results For The People.

This morning, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi joined Margaret Brennan on CBS’ Face The Nation for an interview on Democrats’ agenda in the 116th Congress including reducing the cost of health care and prescription drugs, increasing workers’ paychecks, and cleaning up corruption in Washington.  She also highlighted the accomplishment of record-breaking diversity in the 116th Congress with the new Democratic House Majority being more than 60 percent woman, people of color and LGBTQ. 

Last night, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi joined Chris Cuomo on CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time for a wide-ranging interview on Democrats’ priorities For The People in the 116th Congress, including reducing the cost of health care and prescription drugs, increasing workers’ paychecks, and cleaning up corruption in Washington. She reaffirmed Democrats’ commitment to working for all Americans and finding common ground with Republicans.

As President Trump travels to Fort Myers, Florida to try to divide and distract the American People, House Democrats are keeping the focus on the facts – with the latest in a series of state-level reports outlining in stark detail how GOP-control of Washington has undermined the health and economic security of hard-working Florida families.
