As a resource family, you are a critical partner in ensuring the safety, permanency, and well-being of children in care. A broad range of resource families are needed to support the many needs of children and youth involved in foster care. Whether you have opened your home as a foster parent, a formal or informal kinship caregiver, or as a legal guardian, the resources in this section can help you manage the challenges of parenting children in foster care. Although your job can be difficult, every caregiver is an important part in the reunification process and provides children the structure and support they need to grow and develop into successful adults.
