Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge Announces More Than $14 M in U.S. Department of Homeland Security Funds to the 11th Congressional District
July 1, 2016WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH - Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement after the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awarded $14,022,084 to organizations, public agencies, and entities in the 11th Congressional District:
“Public investments, like those in the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) recent grant announcement, are vital to the safety, security, and protection of Northeast Ohio. Our nation is at a critical juncture; we must do all we can to fight against terrorism – at home and abroad – and save lives.
“Thanks to DHS, 11th Congressional District recipients will create new programs, build upon existing best practices, and develop more innovative ways to keep all residents safe. I applaud each recipient for their efforts and congratulate them on receiving these funds.”
The DHS’ funding was awarded through the following Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 preparedness grant programs:

- State Homeland Security Program
- Urban Area Security Initiative
- Operation Stonegarden
- Emergency Management Performance Grant Program
- Nonprofit Security Grant Program
- Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program
- Intercity Passenger Rail Program - (Amtrak) Program
- Port Security Grant Program
- Transit Security Grant Program
- Intercity Bus Security Grant Program
